The Olympic games. De olympische spelen.

Maandag 18 januari Vandaag ga ik kijken als het olympisch vuur door Calgary heen komt. Er wordt ook een hele show omheen gemaakt, ik ben benieuwd hoe het gaat zijn. Velen roepen erover hoe emotioneel deze aangelegenheid is en hoe trots men is om Canadees te zijn of om er gewoon bij te mogen zijn.
Verslag: bij 39th Ave station zagen we een wat oudere vlamdrager die dat ook in '88 gedaan heeft, het was inderdaad mooi. Op Olympic Plaza was het hartstikke druk en was de stemming ook heel opgewonden. Al met al een mooie ervaring.



Monday Januari 18th Today I am going to watch the olympic torch relay and the whole show surrounding it. I am curious what kind of experience it will be, Many people talk about how emotional it can be being so proud to be Canadian or just to be part of the olympic experience.
Report: We saw a somewhat older male torch baerer at 39tj Ave Station who had also done this in '88. And indeed it was beautiful to see this proud man carry the torch. After that we went to the ceremony at Olymnpic Plaza where it was crowded and full of enthousiastic people. All together a beautiful experience.
