Thank god for streaming media. Gelukkig bestaat er streaming media.

Het is nu dweilpauze in de 5000m in Vancouver. De TV staat aan, we switchen tussen drie Canadeze zenders die het uitzenden, allemaal met hun eigen reclameblokken etc. Via de PC heb ik het Nederlandse commentaar van Radio 1 aan en op het scherm heb ik de Canadese TV beelden plus de tussenstanden. Mooi overzicht van rondetijden, de eindstand tot nu toe etc. We gaan straks hier buiten op een vijver schaatsen, maar we wachten toch echt eerst even tot het schaatsen afgelopen is. Spannend met al die favorieten die na Sven starten, het zal tot in de laatste rit spannend blijven!



They are cleaning the ice right now in Vancouver in teh 5000m speed skate races. The TV is on, plus two PC's with the Dutch radio broadcast and the Canadian TV images (Dutch video signals are blocked from outside the Netherlands) to see the rankings, lap times etc. That way we try to avoid the Canadian commercial breaks. We have a skate party right now at the Bowness Lagoon but we won't go there till after the race of our Dutch favourite Sven Kramer. But the races will be very exciting until the very last second with most other medal contestants racing after Sven. Exciting!!!!
